Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ScienceReach services, including the Micro-Exp Internship and CKP Publishing Service. By using the site or registering for a service, you agree to these Terms.

You must create an account to apply for cohorts. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. ScienceReach may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Cohort registration is subject to payment at the rate published for the applicable cohort and pricing tier. Payments are processed by Stripe in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected based on your billing address.

Approved applicants receive a payment link by email and have 5 calendar days to complete payment. A reminder email is sent at day 3. Unpaid applications are automatically released at day 5, and the applicant receives a notice with instructions to contact us if they still wish to enroll (subject to remaining capacity).

This refund policy applies to the Micro-Exp Internship (Cohort 2 onwards), both pricing tiers. All windows are measured against the cohort's scheduled kickoff date (the date communicated to you at registration).

Self-registered (~$537 direct)

• More than 7 calendar days before kickoff: 100% refund minus $50 processing fee.
• Within 7 calendar days before kickoff, or within the first 72 hours after kickoff: 50% refund minus $50 processing fee.
• More than 72 hours after kickoff: no refund.

Partnership model (~$161 student + ~$376 university)

The $161 student portion is subject to the same three-step refund schedule as self-registration. The $376 university portion is non-refundable but reallocatable to another student in the same cohort, or to another cohort within 12 months, per the institutional MOU.

Protective clauses (both models)

1. $50 non-refundable processing fee on every refund. Covers Stripe transaction fees and administrative time. Does not apply when no refund is owed.
2. Written request only. Refund requests must be emailed to info@sciencereach.ca within 30 days of the trigger event (kickoff date or 72-hour mark, whichever applies).
3. Original payment method only. Refunds processed within 14 business days via the same card or bank account that paid.
4. Late-payment notice. If your payment link is issued within 7 calendar days of kickoff (for example, you were recently approved from the waitlist), your payment is immediately subject to the 50% refund window. The approval-and-payment email will flag this in advance — please contact us before paying if you'd rather wait for the next cohort.
5. Consumer-protection law. Provincial consumer-protection legislation may grant you additional rights not listed above; those rights are not waived by this policy. Contact info@sciencereach.ca to discuss specific cases.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of ScienceReach services will first be addressed in good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Quebec, Canada.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
